Skies of Abu Dhabi Will Light Up with Sensational Fireworks Show by French Artist Loris Gréaud and Pyrotechnicians Groupe F
ABU DHABI, UAE, 15 November, 2009 – Thirty leading international artists from various artistic disciplines – including visual artists, architects, designers, musicians, DJs, actors, poets and philosophers – will celebrate critical thinking and artistic creativity at Abu Dhabi Art, Talks and Sensations: The Wings Party, taking place at Emirates Palace beach on the evening of Thursday 19 November.
Designed exclusively for the inaugural edition of Abu Dhabi Art by international curator and editor of Beaux Arts magazine Fabrice Bousteau, The Wings Party will feature an experimental mixture of art, performances, film, discussions, music, poetry, fireworks, dining and dancing. Audience members will have the opportunity to experience gourmet dining at a welcome reception, followed by a symposium performance, fireworks and a live DJ set in a specially designed series of atmospheric outdoor venues.
Participants in the 2009 edition of Abu Dhabi Art, Talks and Sensations: The Wings Party include: artists Yoko Ono, Jeff Koons, Subodh Gupta, Yan Pei-Ming, Philippe Ramette, and Loris Gréaud; architect Jean Nouvel; DJs Michel Gaubert and Jeff Mills; chef Alain Passard; musicians and dancers collective Rajasthan Roots; music duo Cocorosie; cartoonist Winshluss; photographer Stephen Shore; photographer and street artist JR; pyrotechnicians Groupe F; soundtrack specialists, Soundwalk; Director of Musée du Louvre, Henri Loyrette; Managing Director of Tourism Development & Investment Company, Mubarak Hamad Al Muhairi and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, Zaki Nusseibeh.
Taking place on the opening day of Abu Dhabi Art (Thursday 19 November), The Wings Party will include red carpet arrivals and a welcome reception from 7pm – 8pm, a symposium and performance from 8pm – 10pm, and fireworks and party from 10pm – 12:15am.
