Since 1989, the Enrico Navarra gallery has presented most of the icons of the 1980s including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring and Andy Warhol. The gallery is also especially recognised for the quality of its publications, and in particular its two volume monograph devoted to Jean-Michel Basquiat, which was republished with an appendix in October 2010.
During the 1990s, the Enrico Navarra Gallery produced numerous renowned events such as the exhibitions, ‘Art on the Beach’, a show of monumental sculptures on the beaches of Ramatuelle, France; ‘Le Corps Mutant’, Paris; ‘Mr. Chow’, Paris and ‘World Cup’ which travelled to Paris, Monaco and Seoul.
Since the late 1990’s, the gallery has devoted most of its energy to artists from emerging areas, in particular through the ‘Made by...’ series, directed by Fabrice Bousteau, the publications are titled ‘Made by Chinese’, ‘Made by Indians’ and ‘In the Arab World ... Now’. More recently, the series has culminated in two large monographs on the architecture of Tadao Ando and Ron Arad.
Recently Enrico Navarra commissioned architect Rudy Ricciotti, winner of the Grand National Architecture Prize, 2006 and winner with Mario Bellini of the competition for the development of the Islamic Arts Department at the Louvre Museum, to build at Le Muy in the South France, the first internet gallery.
