Gallery Information
Galerie Jérôme de Noirmont opened its doors in 1994 specialising in primary market contemporary art and representing renowned international artists. The gallery was the first to exhibit Jeff Koons in a solo show in France in 1997, leading more recently to Koons’ third solo exhibition with the gallery in 2010. The support of artists is at the core of the gallery’s ethos and is manifested through the creation of monographs, catalogues and more publicly through the support of major creations such as Shirin Neshat’s Rapture (1999) and Women without men (2008). The critical and public success of Rapture at the 48th Venice Biennale won the artist the International Award. The gallery has also produced Koons’ most important sculpture, Split Rocker, made of flowers.
Over the years the gallery’s solid foundation has led to the initiation and curation of important museum shows worldwide and Jérôme de Noirmont also shows his continued commitment to the art market by participating in the Management Council of the French Professional Art Galleries Committee.
