Rose Issa Projects was founded in 2008 in London, its directors Rose Issa and Omar Mazhar promote visual arts from the Arab World, Iran and Turkey. The project space in Kensington showcases upcoming and established artists and produces exhibitions and publications in collaboration with public and private institutions worldwide. The project space has produced 16 publications since its opening in 2008.
Rose Issa who has been a curator, writer and producer for nearly 30 years, was guest curator for several institutions including: Beirut Exhibition Center (2011 and 2010); Bluecoat, Liverpool (2010); Tate Britain, London (2008); European Parliament, Brussels (2008); Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg (2007); Victoria and Albert Museum, London (2006); Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW), Berlin (2004); Contemporary Cultural Centre (CCCB), Barcelona (2003); IFA - Institut fur Auslandsbezeihungen, Germany (2002-3); Tropenmuseum, Amsterdam (1996-7); Barbican Art Centre (2001, 1995); Leighton House Museum, London (1992-2010).
