“It’s obviously very exciting what’s going on in Abu Dhabi, and that why so many of my colleagues from the art world, when I say colleagues I mean other dealers from around the world, often good friends of mine, have come here because we believe that….that the art market is a really is a global market and that we….. we must pay attention to emerging markets all over the world…. one of the most powerful areas is the gulf region… Abu Dhabi is clearly making a tremendous investment in this direction with the Louvre museum and Guggenheim which will be completed in the next few years so I think the reason I’m here and I can probably speak for most the other galleries that have come here is to be here and be ready when things as things gather more steam.’’ Larry Gagosian
