For its fourth edition, ‘Art, Talks and Sensations’, the innovative, unconstrained element of Abu Dhabi Art, mixing live performances with artistic installations, knowledge with pleasure, assumes the form of a promenade, with works that play on the theme of the island and notions of insularity, two concepts that have fascinated, challenged and inspired artists, philosophers, writers, architects, poets and musicians throughout history. Celebrating the arrival of Abu Dhabi Art on Saadiyat Island and in turn, the opening up of the Saadiyat Cultural District as a site for the inhabitants of Abu Dhabi and as a cultural hub for the world, the curator Fabrice Bousteau has adopted a creative yet edifying approach, imagining the island not only as a unit, but as a construction and as a sociological and architectural project.
