Old Fashion with Khalid Shafar
Emirati designer Khalid Shafar will lead this workshop that will target emerging designers and persons with a passion for design who are eager to explore their creative inspirations but do not know how to start. The ‘Old Fashion’ workshop will focus on the design processes starting from the idea stage to the production phase – the overarching theme being simplicity. Participants do not require advanced technologies and software to develop their ideas; they will discover how to use simple techniques and materials to transform an idea into a real applied design. Simple materials used in everyday life, will be the source of inspiration for participants to create their masterpiece. Learn how to think big but start small – the old fashion way!
Each workshop has a fee of AED 50 per person (non-refundable). All design-work produced can be taken home. No previous design experience needed. Prior registration required.
